Out of the very interesting and detailed answers I received from Troy, I was able to gain a greater understanding for the full career profile of a Journeyman Lift Maintenance Millwright, at Canada Olympic Park. I was able to learn aspects of his individual path, as well as learn lots of rather interesting facts about the job, both with his company and the industry in general.

Who is Arnold..?
At Winsport’s Canada Olympic Park, in Calgary, Alberta, the lift maintenance department is essentially managed by one person; the lead journeyman millwright. For the last nine consecutive seasons, Troy Arnold has been the man to fulfill this position. Though he did not fully develop his career path in which he is currently on until he was offered an apprenticeship at Nakiska, Troy has gained some unique experience through a wide variety of jobs that all contribute to him being a successful journeyman and strong, efficient leader. The three most impactful jobs that helped shape Troy and his skills have been bicycle messaging, cave guiding, and wildland helicopter firefighting.
